This was the headline sent out to over 5,000 media outlets nationwide in mid March. The story detailed the efforts of PFP Executive Director, Mike Justak, to raise funds while creating awareness of Parkinson's Disease.
Plymouth, MN. Mayor Kelli Slavik demonstrated the community's support with the issuance of a Mayoral Proclamation that declared April 24, 2010 as "Mike's Walk for Parkinson's Disease Awareness Day".
"It Works", a participant exclaimed, as she rose from a chair unassisted for the first time in several months.

Begun in 2010, PD Shimmers became the most successful awareness building project launched by PFP.
